Every year The Rose Society UK (TRSUK) organises 4 National Amateur Rose. A Spring show is held for members growing greenhouse grown roses. This year the show will be held in conjunction with our Society’s Annual General Meeting on 11th May. A Summer show is held for members at Squire’s Garden Centre in Shepperton on the last weekend in June; a premier garden centre in the Squire’s Garden Centres Group. Our current President Mr Colin Squire OBE DHM is Chairman Emeritus of the Group.
This show is the society’s flagship show and has been held as part of the Rose Festival held at Squire’s Garden Centre in Shepperton, this year on 28th – 29th June with the support of the Group’s Chairman Sarah Squire.
A late summer show is held in Pelsall. It is our Little Rose Show; it’s a ‘show in a day’ where we turn up, set up, vase up, get the show judged then sit down to eat cream scones, drink tea and talk roses. It’s still a serious rose show except it’s friendlier. We encourage our newer exhibitors to bring their roses and actually talk to our experienced exhibitors and learn from the experts. It’s a fun show and one we all love.
Our Autumn show is held at Newby Hall in Ripon as part of the Harrogate Autumn Show in September
